01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
About this place
Just steps from Shinobazu Pond, Eitaro Sushi occupies a quiet corner of Ikenohata. The careful preparation of each ingredient brings out the character of every piece: tuna aged to deepen its flavour, and kohada—gizzard shad—seasoned with a deft hand to balance salt and vinegar. Each serving reflects the time and attention behind the sushi.
Lunch sushi sets and neatly presented bowls
The lunch menu includes the Selected Sushi Set, served with appetisers and dessert and featuring seasonal flavours, as well as the generous Upper-Grade Sushi, one and a half portions. Weekday options include a seafood bowl, colourful bara chirashi—a bowl of sushi rice topped with assorted ingredients—and an upper-grade chirashi served in a two-tier box. These choices offer an approachable way to enjoy Edomae technique.
A quiet evening with fine sake and wine
In the evening, diners can take their time over a chef’s-choice course, paired with sake from select, hard-to-find breweries or wine. Seating includes a counter with a close view of the chef at work, tables and private rooms, making for an unhurried meal in a peaceful setting.
